Seeing how the traditional disability support system limited clients’ independence, limited their change to practice social skills, restricted their interactions within the community, and generally impacted their right of choice, I decided to take a stand and offer something different. I provide a family orientated perspective with a highlight on putting the people first. I want to be seen as a mentor rather than a director. I work from the heart and stand for everyone’s individuality.
I’ve been involved in a wide array of business types within the Disability Industry for over 13 years. Having worked in a variety of fields across my time in the industry, I’ve developed a range of skills. As the founder of Enabling Independence I’ve learned a lot about operating a small business, and have grown even more passionate to support other small businesses in the field.
